Argiolas

A cellar which became a symbol of the Sardinian wines of excellence and avant -garde

Argiolas is a famous cellar of Serdiana, a real reference of the Sardinian wine scene and an incarnating symbol of the spirit of the island. The history of the family, who arrived at the third generation of work in the vineyard, merges with the splendid hilly territory where the cellar stands: a campaign full of sun and wind, dotted with medieval churches and traditions to be protected. In 1906 the Patriarch Antonio was born who first plan the first rows in the midst of the lands cultivated for centuries by olive groves, fields and orchards. Slowly it combines the various screws and creates a small agricultural heritage. The clays, stubborn and dreamers, continued to invest in their business, enlarged their possessions. It is the beginning of a long history of success, which is still guided by grandchildren with the same desire and enthusiasm as its founder. The recipe is always that: tradition and passion that has been handed down the son of the son. Argiolas is a pioneer of experimentation, famous for the creation of a vineyard with 560 biotypes of Sardinian native varieties. The vines extend from the parts of the Partololla to Sulcis, some of which are cultivated on the Franco and always respecting the sustainability of the territory, a real mission together with the quality factor. The territory of Serdiana is certainly the most expensive to the family, where the village of Sibiola has always been famous for its agricultural production. In addition to this historic seal, there are four more, three in the Trexenta area and one of the Sulcis, all characterized by unspoiled landscapes, native screws and historic territories. The Cantina Argiolas produces over 2 million bottles annual, but it is really difficult to believe it. ..Difficile because the quality is always extremely high, just think of Turriga, legendary red wine, elegant and of great structure, inevitable in the best restaurants in the world, or the excellent Korem, all fruits of the attention of a great winemaker like Mariano Murru and the collaboration of the great signature Giacomo Tachis. Do not forget also the Senes label that pays homage to the centenarians on the island, such as the great Antonio who passed away at the age of 102, to which a unique and historical bottle was dedicated, the Rosso Rosso Antonio 100 in honor of its hundred years . The result are genuine, typical, vibrant, full of energy and freshness wines, like a dip in the sea of Sardinia.
